FourB Mountain Bike Hire will take you on the K2K (Kawakawa to Kinloch), or the W2K (Whaikaipo to Kinloch) mountain bike trails. Our Bike Trails Taupo package includes your two nights accommodation, in the lavish Lavender Room plus cooked breakfasts each morning. Plus a guided tour for two, which includes bike hire (hard tail mountain bikes) and helmets for your trail ride of your choice. (upgrades to E Bikes or dual suspension bikes available at extra charge).
All this includes shuttles to the start of your trail and drop off to Lupin Lodge Bed & Breakfast at the end of your bike ride.

ITINERARY - TAKE YOUR PICK!
GUIDED BIKE TRAILS TOUR – WHAKAIPO 2 KINLOCH (W2K)

This guided Taupo cycle trails tour will ensure you ease and comfort by providing a guide and transporting you and your hire bike to the start of the track so you can ride the spectacular grade 2 and 3 track including the headland loop to Kinloch. The track is 23.5 kms. This track takes you through stunning bush as you weave your way up to the headland loop.
You will be greeted by amazing views of the Great Lake Taupo. Prepare to be blown away by the Great Lake Trail Taupo! This trail is not for beginners and some previous mountain bike experience is necessary. Once we complete the headland loop the trail is mostly downhill to Whangamata Bay, (Kinloch). Keep a watch out for oncoming riders and walkers as the trail is two way and shared use. Once in Kinloch a coffee or cold drink is on the cards before being transported back to Lupin Lodge B&B for a well earned soak in the hot tub.

ITINERARY:
8:00am: Lupin Lodge B & B Taupo cooked Breakfast.
9:00am: Pick up from Lupin Lodge and transported to the start of the track at Whakaipo Bay.
10.15am: On your bikes and away…….
NOTE: Closed shoes and suitable riding gear must be worn. A jacket for the cooler months and/or rain are necessary.

GUIDED BIKE TRAILS TOUR – KAWAKAWA TO KINLOCH (K2K)

This guided bike trails tour will ensure you ease and comfort by providing a guide and transporting you and your bike to the start of the track so you can ride the grade 2 and 3 trail from Orakau to Kinloch. The trail is 19 kms. The track takes you through forests to the beautiful Kawakawa Bay where views of the Great Lake are a plenty.
Enjoy a snack or a swim to refresh yourselves before continuing the trail which begins with a climb to the highest point where you will see spectacular views of the Lake on “Codgers Rock”. From here the trail is mostly downhill to Whangamata Bay (Kinloch) where a coffee or cold drink at the local General Store awaits. Transport will drop you back to Lupin Lodge B&B for a restful relaxing soak in the hot tub.

9:00am: Pick up from Lupin Lodge Bed and Breakfast Taupo and transported to the start of the track at Orakau Bay.
